Easter and meeting family and friends

Kalea's first Easter was extra special since we were able to make our first trip to New Jersey with her.  She got to meet the Easter bunny on the Saturday before Easter, and then she had a wonderful Easter Basket waiting for her when she woke up on Easter Sunday.
We bought her a beautiful Easter dress in a size 0 - 3, but of course it was way too big on her.  She even recently wore it for Mother's Day and it is still too big on her.  On a side note, I really hope the dress we bought for her to wear to my brother's wedding in August will fit!  It is a size 6 month and she will be 8 months...here is hoping!

Pat and I took her outside to take some pictures of her in her dress before she could spit up on it and make it messy.  It turned out to be a bit too early to get the really good natural sunlight so the sun was right in her eyes for all of the shots.  This is the best one I could get.
This adorable shot was taken by her Great Aunt Dee.

Easter Sunday is always at Pat's parents house for his moms side of the family,  Here is Kalea enjoying the "adult" table with all of her Great-Aunt and Uncles.  She was just taking it all in.
Here is Kalea being held by Pat's cousin Katie while her husband, Chris feeds their baby girl Harper who was 3 weeks old at the time.

Love this next picture of Kalea while MomMom plays with her.
 Another cute expression
Enjoying some quality MomMom time.

Luckily we were also able to spend some quality time with Pat's best friends.  Here she is with Ron
 and with Bob.
We had such a good time with Kalea as everyone had a chance to meet her while she is still a baby.  She met so many people for the first time, I just wish I had pictures of all of it ( and time to post about it)!

A Gathering of Friends

When we still lived in New Jersey, I worked in a Middle School with a great group of people.  We all became friends and enjoy each others company.  It is so difficult to get everyone together now, especially since we all don't work together any more.  I am so grateful that a few of them were able to take the time to get together, especially since it was Easter weekend and part of their Spring Break!  Francine especially needs thanks since she graciously hosted us at her house.  Her daughter, Mandee cooked lots of tasty treats for us as well.  We had so much fun just hanging out and catching up.  They were all so sweet and "showered" Kalea with even more gifts.  She is all stocked up with new clothes!

Kalea was introduced to Delaney, my friend Ali's daughter who is 2.  Delaney took a little time to warm to Kalea, but she eventually came over and investigated her little toes.  Sorry for the blurry pic, I was trying to quickly capture it and the camera focused on the table cloth!
 Francine examining Kalea.
 Getting smiles!
Who are all of these people, Mommy?

Some more friends, Narci, Monica, and Robyn.
 I love Robyn's expression!
 Francine's youngest, Michelle
 With Narci, love this shot!
 Another great one!
Completely content in Narci's arms as we all talk.
Thank you all so much!!!  It was so wonderful to see everyone again.  So many more I miss as well, but I am grateful for catching up with every one I can!

4 month stats, a bit late

Life has been so busy lately that today is the first day I have had off in quite awhile.  I am usually off on Tuesdays but they turn into a major errand running day for Kalea and I.  It feels so good to have just spent my day napping and playing with our joyful 4 month old.  She is now past the 4 month mark and each day she seems to grow bigger and bigger.

At her 4 month appointment, her pediatrician said she is right on target for where she should be.  She is about to double her birth weight this next month and everything is looking good.  She is doing well with her physical therapy for her torticollis (tight neck), still having therapy visits once every three weeks.  4 month stats:  12 lbs, 3.8 oz. (25%), 24 in. (40%), and head circum. of 16 in. (40%).  Poor baby is becoming more aware and absolutely hated her shots this visit.  Last time she cried with the longer needle, barely noticing the first shot.  This time around, she was so upset after the first shot that she didn't even notice the 2nd, more painful one because she was so upset already.  Poor girl!

So much happened during her 4th month of life, I have over 300 pictures to go through!  I am hoping to  get to those in the next few days to show her first flight, Easter, baseball game, and meeting of friends and family in New Jersey.

Now to the pictures taken on her 4 month birthday.

Smiling at her Daddy
She found me with the camera, I usually don't get too many shots without her noticing the camera on her.

Staring down her fist
My roses are blooming so I had to get her outside to capture our beautiful flower with the fresh blooms...She is still a bit small for the seat.

Just a comparison to her growth this month.  This next shot was taken just a few days after she turned 3 months.  She has grown sooo much!!!
Now on to laughing, possibly teething (at least we think she is starting), and what ever else might arise this next month.
